Lindsey Fryett

Lindsey is originally from a small town in Ontario. She moved to Montreal in 2004 to study painting at Concordia University. After her first year of study at Concordia she realized that, in order to fully realize her intentions in painting, she needed a strong technical foundation. She started taking Irena Korosec's classical painting classes at BohemiArte in Old Montreal.

In her current series Lindsey combines abstraction and reality. These combinations reflect the development of a personal language of metaphors and symbolism that often draw on qualities of light and of the natural world for meaning. Her paintings are romantic, dream like, surreal and emotive.
